Overview
Ammonium Nitrate is a white crystalline solid that serves as one of the world’s most important nitrogen fertilizers. With a nitrogen content of 34%, it provides immediate and sustained nutrition to crops, promoting rapid vegetative growth and high yields. Beyond agriculture, ammonium nitrate is a critical raw material in commercial explosives (ANFO) and instant cold packs. Moon Bright Resources supplies technical-grade and fertilizer-grade ammonium nitrate meeting international standards, with customized particle sizes and anti-caking treatments for superior handling and storage performance.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: Is Ammonium Nitrate explosive?
A1: Pure ammonium nitrate is not explosive on its own. However, it is a strong oxidizer that can detonate when contaminated with organic materials (oil, fuel, charcoal) or exposed to intense heat in a confined space. When mixed with fuel oil (ANFO — Ammonium Nitrate Fuel Oil), it becomes a commercial explosive. Storage, handling, and transport must strictly follow safety regulations, which we fully comply with.
Q2: How should Ammonium Nitrate be stored safely?
A2: Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from heat sources, direct sunlight, and incompatible materials (acids, alkalis, chlorates, organic materials, and combustible substances). Keep bags off concrete floors on wooden pallets. Do not store near fuels, oils, or grain. Maintain relative humidity below 80% to prevent caking. Fire suppression should use large volumes of water — never use dry chemical or foam.
Q3: Do you offer OEM / private label packaging?
A3: Yes, Moon Bright Resources provides full OEM services for ammonium nitrate. We can package under your brand name with custom-printed bags (25 kg, 50 kg, or FIBCs), custom particle size specifications, anti-caking treatments, and your choice of fertilizer or technical grade. Minimum OEM order quantity is 20 metric tons (one full truckload). We also offer custom bag design and bulk repackaging services.
Q4: What is the difference between prilled and granular ammonium nitrate?
A4: Prilled ammonium nitrate is small, round pellets (typically 2-4 mm) produced by dropping molten ammonium nitrate through a cooling tower. Granular ammonium nitrate is irregularly shaped, harder, and more resistant to moisture absorption and caking. For agriculture, both are effective, but prills dissolve slightly faster in soil. For blending with other fertilizers, granules are preferred due to better particle size matching and reduced segregation.
Q5: What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A5: MOQ is 25 kg (one bag) for sample orders, 500 kg (20 bags) for small commercial orders, and 20 metric tons for wholesale pricing. Bulk orders of 20 metric tons or more (full truckload) qualify for discounted rates. For OEM private label orders, MOQ is 20 metric tons.
